Encore Cats was established in 1985. Initially we bred Persians, Himalayans and IRCA Cherubims. We became
Encore RagaMuffins in 1994, dedicating ourselves to breeding RagaMuffins
exclusively. We are one of the original RagaMuffin catteries and a
founding member of the It has been my pleasure to serve as President of RAG from 1997 until 2008 and as RagaMuffin Breed Chair of American Cat Fanciers Association (ACFA), American Association of Cat Enthusiasts (AACE), United Feline Organization (UFO) and Cat Fanciers Federation (CFF). I also have had the pleasure of serving on the Cat Fanciers Association (CFA) Breed Committee. My husband, George, has always been my steadfast supporter as he loved this breed as he loved no other. Sadly, George was taken from us in June, 2008 and I miss his support immensely. George and I had been planning to move to Kentucky to be with our daughter, Robin, recently retired from the Coast Guard. With his passing, Robin insisted that the plan be put into action and so the kitties and I have relocated to the beautiful heartland of Kentucky. Robin is a massage therapist and a long time photographer. She will become my "official" photographer, taking that responsibility from her father. Robin often serves as the show photographer at various cat shows. I plan to add a section showing off some of her photographic works that I think you would enjoy seeing.... At Encore we take great pride in breeding the finest RagaMuffins possible. We have worked with the breed since its inception and you will find Encore cats as the foundation blocks of many of the most prestigious catteries .... those known for their successes in the show ring as well as those whose emphasis is on producing this wonderful feline primarily for companionship. We believe that there should be a
balance between these worlds... While many Encore RagaMuffins have earned
impressive titles in the show ring, we believe that the most important
quality of a RagaMuffin is "Pet" and the most important title, that of We take the breeding of the RagaMuffin Cat very seriously and are dedicated to breeding the healthiest RagaMuffin kittens we possibly can. To this end, we continuously test our breeding cats in order to insure the very best health in both our breeders and our kittens. We feed what we feel is the finest food available... Life's Abundance (dry) and Instinctive Choice (canned) from Trilogy. Our RagaMuffin cats and kittens have always been served distilled water with Oxyfresh Pet Oral Hygiene Solution added.
